Finding Your Way Around

A tour of the everyday parts of MX: the sidebar, the brand switcher, your Home dashboard, notifications, and the keyboard basics that make you faster.

The sidebar on the left holds your main destinations under the Platform heading: Home, Chat, Flows, Campaigns, Documents, and Klaviyo. Expand the sidebar to also reach Prompts, Agents, and Trash.

You can collapse the sidebar to a narrow icon rail to give yourself more room. Use Collapse sidebar / Expand sidebar on the toggle at the top. Org admins see an extra Org Admin section with organization settings, integrations, knowledge, and workflow templates.

Switching brands

Almost everything in MX is scoped to one brand at a time. The brand switcher sits at the bottom of the sidebar and shows the brand you are working on now, or Select a brand when none is chosen.

Open it to:

Jump to one of your Pinned brands.
Open View all brands to see every brand you can access.
Start New brand.

The switcher lists pinned and recent brands, so pin the ones you work in daily for quick access. See Browse and pin brands for how pinning works.

When you switch brands, MX carries you into that brand’s workspace so Chat, campaigns, and flows all reflect the new choice.

Home dashboard

Home is your starting point after sign-in.

The page opens with a greeting like What are we writing today? and a short summary of your recent activity. Below that:

Hero composer - type what you want to write, pick Choose brand (or your current brand) to change scope, then click Draft it to open Chat with your prompt ready to send. Suggestion pills below the composer fill the prompt for common tasks.
In motion - cards for recent campaigns, flows, and chats you touched. Click one to jump back in with the right brand loaded.

Notifications

The bell at the top of the expanded sidebar shows a count when you have unread notifications. Click it to open the full Notifications page.

Search and keyboard basics

Press Cmd+K (or Ctrl+K on Windows) to open the command palette. From there you can:

Create a new document, campaign, flow, chat, or brand.
Jump to any main section, such as Chat, Documents, or Klaviyo.
Switch to another brand.
Change the theme between light, dark, and system.

Start typing to filter the list, then press Enter to run the highlighted command.

The command palette does not open while you are typing inside a rich text editor, so Cmd+K there inserts a link instead. Move your cursor out of the editor first if you want the palette.
