Comments

Leave feedback right on the copy. Comments attach to the text you select, or to the email fields above it, and your team can discuss without changing the draft. MX has no separate approval step, so review happens here in the comment threads (and, if you want, through an agent run on the draft).

Select the text you want to comment on, then use the comment button in the toolbar, the right-click menu, or Cmd/Ctrl+Alt+M. A small comment box opens next to your selection. Post it and the text gets a highlight; click a highlight any time to open its thread.

Comment on the subject line, preview text, or sender name

Section titled “Comment on the subject line, preview text, or sender name”

Hover over the Subject, Preview, or Sender field and click the comment button that appears next to it. Fields with open comments show a small chip with the commenters’ pictures and a count; click the chip to read the thread or add to it. This works in the campaign editor and in the flow canvas side panel, so reviewers can leave feedback on any email in a flow without opening the full editor.

In the campaign editor - and in flow emails opened in the full editor - the toolbar has an MX review button. Click it and MX runs a full review agent on your copy in the background: it reads the current draft and any existing comment threads, grounds its read in your brand profile, brand rules, and brand knowledge, checks it against your organization’s writing standards, and verifies claims and links on the web when they carry weight. It works on every campaign type and on flow emails, tuned to the format (designed, text-based, or SMS). While it reads, the editor shows a subtle shimmer, and its comments appear as it writes them.

MX review is built for customer-facing email and SMS copy, so the button only appears on campaigns and flow emails. For briefs and other documents, work with MX in chat instead - it can read the document and verify claims against your brand knowledge there.

Each MX comment carries the MX avatar, the text it refers to, what MX suggests instead, and why. Apply accepts a suggestion in one motion: the text swaps in and the thread resolves. Suggestions are not limited to rewording - MX can propose fixing where a link points (Apply repoints the link) or removing a line outright (the button reads Remove). If the copy changed since MX read it, Apply declines and tells you, rather than guessing.

MX highlights use their own blue tint, so you can tell MX feedback from teammates’ amber highlights at a glance.

If the copy is clean, MX says so instead of inventing critiques. The comments panel tells you MX reviewed the copy, found no issues, and when it ran, with its full response behind Show what MX said - so a reviewed campaign never looks like one nobody has read.

Comment threads are anchored to the text itself, so they move with the copy as you edit. Use the All / Team / MX filter in the comments panel to read human and MX feedback separately or together.

Each comment is a thread. Reply to keep the conversation going, and resolve a thread once it is handled so it drops out of the active view. You can switch between open and resolved threads, and reopen a resolved thread if it needs more discussion.

The panel button in the toolbar opens an overview of every thread. Comments on the subject line, preview text, and sender name are grouped at the top under Email settings, with body comments below in the order they appear in the copy. Click a thread to jump to its spot in the email. On smaller screens the overview opens as a drawer so the email stays readable.

Type @ while writing a comment or reply to mention a teammate. Pick them from the list, and they are notified about the thread. Mentions work in both the first comment and any reply.

Comments work the same way in campaigns, documents, and flow emails, since they all use the same editor. Wherever you open them, the same threads follow the content.
