Sharing and cloning flows

Reuse a flow across brands by cloning it, or share a read-only view with people outside MX. This page covers both.

Cloning copies a flow into a brand of your choice - handy when the same automation applies to more than one brand.

  1. On the Flows page, open a flow’s menu and choose Duplicate.
  2. Set a Name for the copy (it defaults to the original name plus “- Clone”).
  3. Pick the Brand. It starts on the flow’s own brand, so change it if you are copying the flow somewhere else.
  4. Decide what to carry over. Both are on by default:
    • Keep email/SMS content - copies the finished campaign content.
    • Keep briefs - copies the briefs. Turn this off if the new brand needs its plans rewritten from scratch.
  5. Click Clone Flow. The new flow opens on the canvas.

The structure of the flow - its nodes and connections - always comes along. The two options only control whether the written content and briefs come with it.

Sharing turns a flow into a public, read-only link that anyone can open without signing in.

  1. On the Flows page, click the flow’s share icon and choose Create public link.
  2. Copy the public link. It points to /p/flows/ followed by the flow’s share id.

To turn the link off again, click the share icon and choose Stop sharing.

What viewers see on the public link:

  • The flow canvas, laid out the same way you built it.
  • Clicking any node shows its details. Campaign nodes show the finished email or SMS copy, along with subject line, preview text, and sender name. A campaign that has not been generated yet shows a placeholder instead.
  • A theme toggle and a copy-format toggle for reading the content.
  • An Edit Flow button that opens the flow in MX (viewers are asked to sign in first).

The share control in the flow canvas header shares the brand’s whole canvas, not one flow. Anyone with that link can read every flow on it, including node copy and attachments, and flows you add later are included automatically. It points to /p/brand-flows/ followed by the canvas share id. Use Stop sharing on the same control to switch it off.

Sharing a flow shares the whole automation - the canvas plus every campaign’s content in one read-only view. If you only want to share a single email or document, share that campaign or document on its own instead. See Sharing documents for how individual documents are shared.
